If we treat enlightenment as an ordinary concept, trying to understand it in the conventional sense leads to trying to cognize an infinite set of relations, which is impossible for our finite brains to do. So our only recourse is to drop any conception of it — and understand that it is an empty set. Futher, the entire project of trying to understand enlightenment is counterproductive, since it is a state we must fully embody, not just think about!
