Marc E. Waddell, Ph.D. Thank you for the comment Marc! I’m always hesitant when it comes to laying out actual meditation techniques, as I’m still a novice on the path. The meditation works by severing the linkage between sensation and reaction (vedana and sankhara). You develop the awareness to be able to feel something without automatically responding to it.
